 | Nancy Grace has been employed with the members of Sheuerman, Martini & Tabari team for approximately 11 years. Ms. Grace has been assisting on medical malpractice, elder abuse and personal injury cases. She worked as a medical-legal assistant on the landmark case of Potter v. Firestone. In that case, she was responsible for coordinating, evaluating, organizing and analyzing the records and other data and communicating with experts and witnesses, resulting in a $15,000,000 award for her clients.
Before her work as a medical-legal consultant, Ms. Grace was the medical/pediatric and pulmonary unit manager at the Community Hospital of Santa Cruz and worked at numerous other hospitals in various medical/nursing supervisory capacities, including ICU/CCU, operating room, infectious disease and other areas.
Ms. Grace received her B.S.N. degree and public health nursing degree through the Consortium of California State Universities. She has participated in the teaching of numerous courses to both nursing and to medical paralegals.
At Sheuerman, Martini & Tabari, Ms. Grace coordinates the initial analysis of medical records, prepares a time line, receipt of retention of records, radiographic materials and the like. She also conducts Medline research, interfaces with experts and assists clients with discovery.
An additional important aspect of Ms. Grace’s work at Sheuerman, Martini & Tabari is her ability to knowledgeably and efficiently compile and organize detailed, extensive medical records to the firm’s expert consultant in a chronological and easily accessible fashion.
